i vaguely remember learning that Kendra (one of Becky's friends from high school in bartlesville, ok) grew up in grand island, ne, which is 45 minutes from where i grew up and also from where i live now.

when my sister and i joined Kendra and Becky for a day of skiing this spring, i learned that Kendra's sister is going to UNK, the same university my sister is currently attending. she also has some relatives still living near grand island.

a few weekends ago, i had the opportunity to hang out with Kendra and her parents in bartlesville. we learned that her relatives near grand island and my cousins go to the same small church (with around 50 members), attend the same school, and have the same last name (but aren't closely related).

when i returned home and told my sister this, her eyes got really large. "remember when i went on a blind date in high school? the one our aunt set up for me? that was with Kendra's cousin!"

wonder what i'll find out the next time i hang out with Kendra or her family...
