an update

i've been quite busy lately. my evenings have been filling up -- i'm in a bowling league and doing some church things each week, as well as watching my cousins play volleyball. i've also been out-of-state every-other weekend for awhile. i went to cedar rapids over labor day to hang out with lots of letourneau friends. 2 weeks later, i went to hesston college for my 5-year reunion. last weekend, i went hiking with Becky and Aduma in colorado. this coming weekend, i'm going home to hang out with my siblings and other random family members.

in between this stuff, i've been working to change something that is long overdue. since my sophomore year in high school, i've kept God at a distance. i've been surrounded by Godly people. i've been to youth conferences, mission trips, and two Christian colleges. most of my friends have been Christians throughout the years. but i've tried to keep God Himself out of my life.

over the 4th of july weekend, i spent some time with my 2nd mom and something changed in me. God, through her, convinced me that it was finally time to deal with my relationship with Him. along the way, i'm working on plenty of issues from my past that are messing with my life now. it's been both exhilerating and draining, but progress is definitely being made!
