twas a wonderful day

the day started off with news that ardith's dad might get a new heart today. nothing could top that, but good circumstances kept following me throughout the day. i wasn't looking forward to work at all because our IT audit was supposed to begin this afternoon. but when i got in, my boss said it had been scheduled for next week all along (he had misread the email). *phew* then tonight we had a soccer game. i had a blast playing goalie! it's a perfect position -- not much running and plenty of adrenaline! later i called my mom to see if she had purchased the car we had been looking at buying. a dealer we've been working with found it on an online auction at the end of last week and we decided to get it. so today mom went to test-drive it and sign the papers. as it turned out, the car was much cheaper and had many less miles than i had expected. it's a silver-blue 5-speed 2002 saturn (i'm not sure of the model) with only 29,000 miles. so right now, i actually own 2 cars. how many college students do you know that can say that? :)
