God is incredibly good to me!

my car couldn't have broken down at a better time!

1. i didn't have anything that i needed to do that afternoon
2. this is the only week out of the year that i won't need to drive my car (i'm not working, etc)
3. my axle shaft (or something like that) is all torn up and needs to be replaced. they will take this off to replace the clutch, so it won't be any extra labor to fix!

and this will all be finished today! hooray!

my clutch died today. :'-( it was at least 5 yrs old, and maybe as old as 12. i'd say it lasted a good, long while for as hard as i am on it... here's hoping it won't take more than a week to replace. if it does, i'll need to borrow a car to drive to work the week after finals. so if anyone has one that will stay on campus over break and wouldn't mind me driving it a bit, let me know!

i found out 2 nights ago that we're receiving a desk, dining room table, couch, and washing machine for free for our apt! and in february, we'll be given a dryer!

i'm starting to get excited about taking the semester off, especially after this week of craziness. i'm only taking 1 class and will work the rest of the time at dana. it will definitely be nice to be more independent - to not have room inspections and other crap like that to do...

5 things i learned this weekend:

1. how much i hate pda

2. (once again) how i could never live in a city...and we weren't even in the actual city

3. how much high school football means to texans (as in, $21 million spent on a football stadium)

4. how much i need the support of my friends

5. how nice 12 hrs of sleep a night feels
