went to the ent again this week. he said 10% of the hole has healed and he still believes it has a 50%-50% chance of healing on its own. so we're just going to keep waiting...

i went in to an ear, nose, throut dr in longview last week. he said there isn't any scar tissue around my ear drum, so the hole was probably caused when i was hit (not that hard, i might add) in a basketball game 2 weeks ago. there's a 50-50 chance that the hole will heal on its own. if it's not looking like it will heal within 3 or 4 weeks, he'll patch my ear drum with skin from behind my ear...sounds like fun, doesn't it?

a few nights ago, i was sitting here with hank and i heard a buzzing sound. i assumed he had a fan going out. so after being annoyed with that for awhile, i powered him down and took off one side to clean him out with some canned air (that's all he's needed at other times with similar sounds). i knew exactly what to do...except that when i turned hank off, i still heard the buzzing. then i realized the sound was from a video one of my roommates was playing a few feet from hank. well...my pc got a decent cleaning and i realized just how bad my hearing is (apparently holes in the ear drum will do that)...
