[disclaimer: the occurences in this entry may not have actually happened. the facts may have been embellished or simply made up.]

so today becky and i bought a gallon of paint at home depot to paint this helicopter for a class project we have. for some reason, we decided to paint it in the dorm. our silly group members were being extremely picky and thought the gloss of the paint wasn't quite right. so we went back to home depot to [hopefully] get the correct type. upon returning, we eagerly started painting. everything looked great...until we noticed the gloss didn't dry as we had expected. so tomorrow we have to make another trip to home depot. good thing the ladies working in the paint department are nice...even though one of them constantly rants about her psycho children.

yep...that's pretty much how it happened. ;)

nm about that interview... glad i didn't get too excited about it.
i have at least 3 big things on my mind, but am not at the point that i can communicate any of it yet.

i haven't shared this with anyone yet (i'm not really sure why), but i will most likely have a job interview the week after next. it's for a really good company, but i'm not sure if i'd enjoy the job or not. guess that's why i'm not letting myself get excited about it yet.

but it'll be a good day today. it's friday and it's my brother's 14th birthday! :)

snow!!...and...the sooners

for the last 1.5 days all of nebraska, the majority of kansas and iowa, and portions of colorado, wyoming, and south dakota were in a winter storm warning...which means i finally have seen more snow than the <1" "snowfalls" longview gets once a year!! when i went uptown this afternoon, it was much easier to walk than to risk getting stuck in a drift with my car. it also meant i didn't have to dig my car out of the driveway, which my brother and i spent 1-2 hrs doing later in the day. it had been awhile since i had heard the "crunch" from walking on new snow, the frustration of not getting anywhere when trudging through drifts of powder, and the crisp, refreshing air that immediately freezes your snot (which you don't realize until it suddenly thaws). :)

also of note: for the 1st time ever, i rooted for oklahoma for a few minutes last night. it would definitely have helped the Big 12 for the sooners to have played a bit better against USC in the title game. but instead they got humiliated. it was predicted to be the closest matchup of any title game in a long time. between the 3rd and 4th quarters, i flipped to fox sports and heard two guys basically guarantee that oklahoma would win...that was quite amusing. don't get me wrong, i didn't want the sooners to win, but i would rather they had not gotten a 55-19 beating.
