these two scriptures have brought lots of comfort to me this weekend! i hope they encourage you as well.

Your hands made me and formed me;
give me understanding to learn your commands.
May those who fear you rejoice when they see me,
for I have put my hope in your word.
I know, O Lord, that your laws are righteous,
and in faithfulness you have afflicted me.
May your unfailing love be my comfort,
according to your promise to your servant.
  --Psalm 119:73-76

Shout for joy, O heavens;
rejoice, O earth;
burst into song, O mountains!
For the Lord comforts his people
and will have compassion on his afflicted ones.
  --Isaiah 49:13

i am so thankful the election is over. we had a large turnout, but i haven't seen the exact numbers so i won't speculate beyond that. it was a frustrating night, but was enjoyable overall. and i learned it is tougher to stay up until 5.00am than it was in my college days. :)

it's been a good week. i had a great weekend at the casselberry's and things haven't been too bad since then. God is really teaching me alot, which is so exciting!! and hank got a new power supply, so he's happier as well. and it snowed last night. w00t!!

more on the stuff God's been teaching me at another time. :)

i find myself getting increasingly angry and cynical the more i keep up with the news. so what's my typical solution? to not pay attention to any of it.

i'm starting to realize how dangerous this is. how can i be a productive member of society if i am uninformed?

i need an attitude adjustment and i've tried to do it on my own. i'm finally realizing that only God can help me with that. only He can shape me into what i desire to be.
