Where were you six years ago?
I woke up for my 9:30 English Comp II class with Dr. Coppinger. As I left Gilbert Hall, Jen (I'm blanking out on her last name...she lived on G3) was coming back from class and asked, "Have you heard?" She filled me in a little and then I was off to class.
Dr. Coppinger told us what was happening with glazed eyes and a wavering voice. We prayed and then went to watch FoxNews on the big screen in the Solheim lounge. We saw the plane fly into the second tower live.
I got back from class and my roommate Jenny was in tears. Her sister was a flight attendant with American Airlines and the airline couldn't account for the plane she was on.
Soon after, we went to the a gathering in front of MSC, where the baseball coach gave an emotional talk. One of his siblings (I believe) worked in the WTC and this person was unaccounted for. Then we prayed in small groups.
In World Civ that afternoon, Dr. Johnson talked about the possible attackers. He talked alot about bin Laden and Al Qaeda, both of which I had never heard of.
